WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio – The 2018 Combined Federal Campaign for Wright-Patterson Air Force Base will run Oct. 3 through Nov. 16, 2018.

The mission of the CFC is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.

“We are very excited for this year’s theme “Show some love,” said Col. Rick Johns, Deputy Director of Air, Space and Cyberspace Operations and Chief Information Officer and this year’s  CFC campaign chair. “The economy is doing so well this year so I am very encouraged that more people will donate to one of the CFC charities that help our neighbors, friends and those in need. Whatever you are passionate about, the list of CFC charities has something for everyone.”

Johns also added that new online pledge system this year will make the process to donate effortless.

CFC is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charitable giving campaign.  Since CFC’s inception in the early 1960’s, military and federal employees globally have contributed more than $8.2 billion to local, national and international charities through the annual campaign. Last year alone, military, federal civilian and postal employees throughout the country and overseas collectively contributed $101 million to CFC-approved charities.

Pledges made by federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season, support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.

There are 200 approved charities located in Ohio participating in this year's campaign.

A CFC charity fair and campaign kickoff event will be held for attendees to learn more about the program and services offered by CFC-approved charities. Over 100 charities will exhibit at the event. The date of the charity fair and campaign kickoff will be announced at a later date.
