WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -

Comedian and ventriloquist entertainer, Ryan Bomgardner, brought his Ryan and Friends show to the base theater, June 7, 2018.

The self-proclaimed star of the show Jeffrey made an appearance. He’s a staged 8-year old puppettered dummy, who has a witty outlook on life, and sometimes says things others only wish they could say. Also making appearances were a mischievous pet parrot and Ardy the Skunk.

Ryan brought several members of the audience, including the 88th Mission Support Group commander Col. Leonard Rose and his wife Rachelle, up on stage to help with the show.

After the show Ryan signed autographs for kids who attend the performance.

Ventriloquism is an act of stage craft where a person, known as a ventriloquist, changes his or her voice making it appear to be coming from somewhere else, usually a puppeteered dummy.

The 2017 “America’s Got Talent” TV show champion was 12-year old Darci Lynne, who is a singing ventriloquist.
