TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Oklahoma - The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Acquisition Center of Excellence office at Tinker Air Force Base, provides expert advice and hands-on assistance for acquisition and non-acquisition personnel in order to achieve success for their programs, ultimately ensuring the war fighter has the capabilities they need to perform their missions.

The co-location of this team within a single office can serve multiple programs, within multiple Centers across Tinker Air Force Base.  Regarding the Tinker ACE office, Joseph Stupic, Tinker ACE chief states “We have a history going back 16 years under the former Air Logistics Center.  Back then, our mission was to support all acquisitions on base.  Although the center-level organizations have changed, we are still tasked to support all units at Tinker Air Force Base.”

The ACE office consists of highly experienced advisers with varying backgrounds in engineering, acquisition program management, contracting, and logistics.  However, the most valuable asset the Tinker ACE has is their motivation to provide great customer service by maintaining consistency in their customer interactions and to exceed the customer’s expectations.

With regards to customer service, Chris Young, an engineer who is part of the Tinker ACE team said, "As a team, we are fully committed to providing our customers with friendly, organized, responsive, and knowledgeable service and support."

Dale Koontz, a Lead Equipment Specialist within the KC-46 Program Office recently attended a Risk Management training session to better understand risks, along with obtaining advice in order to develop a risk mitigation strategy for this brand new platform.

With regards to the training, Koontz said “When asked for assistance, the ACE office promptly scheduled a risk training workshop to provide risk identification, risk rating assignments, as well as risk mitigation procedures to our KC-46 Program Office Integrated Product Team (IPT).”

In addition to the Risk Management training and workshop, the following is a list of some of the ACE training and workshops that are provided:

       ·         Market Research training

·         Work Breakdown Structure training and workshops
