Shipton to lead Tanker Directorate Published March 29, 2017 By 88th Air Base Wing Public Affairs WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- Brig. Gen. (S) Donna Shipton will become the Program Executive Officer (PEO) for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Tanker Directorate located here. Shipton is currently the Senior Military Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition at the Pentagon, and in her new position will be responsible for the planning and execution of all life cycle activities for the Air Force Tanker fleet, to include the development, test, production, fielding and support of the KC-46 tanker system, as well as the modification and support of the fielded KC-135 and KC-10 tanker systems operated by the Air Force and partner nations. Shipton entered the Air Force in 1991 after graduating from Clemson University as an ROTC distinguished graduate with a degree in electrical engineering. She has served in numerous leadership positions throughout her career and has held her current position since June 2015. She will replace Maj. Gen. (S) Duke Richardson who will be the PEO for Presidential Aircraft Recapitalization in Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
