Medium Scale Critical Components program
The Arnold Engineering Development Complex Aerodynamic and Propulsion Test Unit at Arnold Air Force Base, Tenn., supported testing for the Air Force Research Laboratory Medium Scale Critical Components program. The MSCC team was honored with a 2020 Aviation Week Network Laureate Award for the project, which set a record for the highest thrust produced by an air-breathing hypersonic engine in U.S. Air Force history.
