O’Grady becomes PEO for ISR and SOF

At an April 6 ceremony at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Col. Martin O'Grady assumed leadership as the Program Executive Officer for the Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Special Operations Forces Directorate within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.

O'Grady replaces Brig. Gen. Michael Schmidt who became the PEO for the Fighters and Bombers Directorate.

Previously O'Grady served as the chief of the Legacy Tanker Division at Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., where he was responsible for the total life cycle support of 396 tanker aircraft. In this role, he maintained oversight of an annual budget of more than $1 billion.

As PEO for ISR and SOF, O'Grady is responsible for supporting all Air Force ISR and SOF platforms to include RQ-4 Global Hawk and MQ-1 and M-9 Predator and Reaper.

O'Grady is a 1994 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo.

He is a career acquisitions officer and has served in a variety of program management leadership positions at numerous locations including Air Force Space Command, Air Force Research Laboratory and the office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition at the Pentagon.
