WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- Wright-Patterson Air Force Base will hold activities to help military children better understand military deployments during the Operation K.U.D.O.S. (Kids Understanding Deployment Operations) event July 28, kicking off at 8:30 a.m. at Hangar 206.

Hosting 40 families, the event is designed to put kids primarily ages 4 to 13 in the trenches of preparing for military missions through fun simulations and discussion. This allows for children to have more of an understanding if and when their parents deploy.

The day will include stations featuring roles of medical, security forces, physical training, fire department and more for the kids to experience.

For media interested in the event, please contact Kayla Prather at kayla.prather.2@us.af.mil or the Public Affairs office at (937) 522-3252 by noon tomorrow with driver’s license information to include name as it appears on license, license number and state of issue to allow coordination for your access to base.
