PEO selected to lead Mobility Directorate

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio – A new program executive officer has been selected to lead the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Mobility Directorate headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base with locations at Hill, Robins and Tinker AFBs.

Lynda Rutledge, currently the PEO for the Agile Combat Support Directorate will take over a position that had been vacated by Kevin Buckley, who stepped down as PEO for Mobility in February.

In her new role, Rutledge will be responsible for program execution, and executive management of all ACAT I, II and III programs in the Mobility Aircraft portfolio to include the C-5, C-17, C-24J, C-130J, C-130 Legacy, Mature and Proven Aircraft, and Training Aircraft.

Rutledge brings a wealth of acquisition experience to the table.

As PEO for ACS, she leads a very diverse organization with more than 600 programs and a $9 billion budget.

Prior to that, she was the deputy director of the Fighters and Bombers Directorate where she supported the PEO in the development, production, fielding, sustainment and modernization of the portfolio which includes the A-10, A-29, B-1, B-2, B-52, F-15, F-16, F-22 and special programs.

Rutledge graduated from of the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s degree in systems engineering.
