Genatempo to lead Armament Directorate

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio – Col. Anthony Genatempo will become the Program Executive Officer for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Armament Directorate located at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. 

Genatempo, who was recently selected for promotion to brigadier general, is currently the Senior Materiel Leader for the F-22 System Program Office within AFLCMC’s Fighters and Bombers Directorate. In his new position, he will be responsible for the planning and execution of all life cycle activities for air-delivered munitions, including the Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile, Hard Target Void Sensing Fuze, Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile, Joint Direct Attack Munition, Joint Programmable Fuze, Miniature Air Launched Decoy and Small Diameter Bomb. Armament Directorate’s $67 billion portfolio includes numerous legacy weapons and ammunition, combat training systems, threat emitters for test and training purposes and aerial targets including the QF-4, QF-16.

Genatempo entered the Air Force in 1991 after graduating from Rutgers University with a degree in physics.

He has served in numerous leadership positions throughout his career and has held his current position since August 2014.

He will replace Brig. Gen. Shaun Morris, who was selected for promotion to major general and is scheduled to become the commander of the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center at Kirtland AFB, N.M.
