WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- Have you ever lost or misfiled an important document? Defense Logistics Agency Document Services can offer their customers a comprehensive document scanning service to eliminate that problem.

Document Management is one of the largest costs to most organizations. Paper files are doubling every 3.5 years and the average worker has a 34 hour paper filing backlog. Each day more than one billion photocopies are made and the average document is copied 19 times, according to online sources.

“We can scan documents 36 inches wide and for any length,” said Janet Burgess, Supervisory Document Specialist. “Both black and white or color is available.”

“Our service converts large amounts of paper documents to digital format, reclaims office space and better preserves the information,” according to Fannie Chandler, customer service representative for DLA Document Services, Equipment Management Solutions.

Other DLA document services are printing, high-speed, high-volume duplicating, office copier/multifunction device solutions, and electronic document/records management solutions. Document Services is a part of DLA Information Operations.

“All Department of Defense organizations can lease multifunction devices under DLA. Leasing under DLA results in better rates, more negotiating power and newer, more efficient equipment. Getting the word out to everyone is the most important starting point,” Chandler said.

DLA is located in Area B, Building 56, 2100 Monaham Way. Hours of operation are frpm 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
