Base officials are pleased to report that Wright-Patterson Air Force Base's water is safe to drink and that drinking water systems meet all U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Ohio EPA health standards.

The 2013 Wright-Patterson Air Force Base consumer confidence report is now available online at http://www.wpafb.af.mil/library/factsheets/factsheet.asp?id=6682, as well as the Bioenvironmental Engineering Web site, https://mdg.wpafb.af.mil/88amds/BioEng/SitePages/Home.aspx.

To comply with state and federal regulations, base officials issue a report each year describing the quality of Wright-Patterson AFB's drinking water. This report enhances the base population's understanding of drinking water and awareness of the need to protect drinking water sources.

The report provides an overview of the base's water quality for 2013. It also contains information on the community's drinking water, including the source of the water, contaminants detected, and health effects of contaminants when violations occur. It also contains lead educational information and instructions when a boil water advisory or notice has been issued.

The 2013 Consumer Confidence Report will be hand-delivered to base housing residences in the Brick Quarters and The Woods in May to meet the compliance distribution deadline of July1, a date set by the EPA.
