Richardson chosen as PEO for Tankers

Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Welsh announced April 21 that Brig. Gen. Duke Richardson was selected to become the Program Executive Officer for tankers, Tanker Directorate, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

Richardson will succeed Maj. Gen. John Thompson, who was selected for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment to become the next AFLCMC commander.

Currently, Richardson is the director, Logistics and Sustainment at Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command. He is responsible for developing and directing guidance and policy for the depot overhaul, repair, and modification of Air Force weapon systems, as well as for the Air Force supply chain. The depot maintenance activity is valued at $6.5 billion per year at the command's three Air Logistics Complexes (ALCs), while the supply activity is valued at $5.8 billion.
