Reserve intelligence unit to activate Published May 9, 2014 By 88 Air Base Wing Public Affairs WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- A ceremony marking the official activation of the 14 Intelligence Squadron (IS) will take place at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center May 17 beginning at 2 p.m. The squadron is part of the latest intelligence transformation initiative by the Air Force Reserve Command and will create a unique acquisition intelligence capability for Reservists. The 14 IS will conduct intelligence analysis and assessments for Air Force Materiel Command. The squadron will support the 21 Intelligence Squadron, a 55-member active-duty unit assigned to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, and work in collaboration with NASIC. These four organizations are located at Wright-Patterson AFB. The 14 IS reports to the 655 Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group. The 655 ISRG oversees 11 Reserve intelligence squadrons located in six different states.
