Becky Taylor United States Air Force Band of Flight Public Affairs WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- Tickets will be available Nov. 22 for the United States Air Force Band of Flight free annual holiday concerts at the Dayton Masonic Center. Concerts are scheduled for Dec. 11 at 7:30 p.m.; Dec. 12 at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; and Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m. The theme of this year's concerts is "December Remembered: Home & Abroad." Letters and video clips from deployed service members will be shared throughout the concert. These will include messages to family members back home and favorite memories of the holidays. The concerts will feature the United States Air Force Band of Flight Concert Band, Wright Brass quintet, and Night Flight jazz ensemble, which has not performed on a holiday show for more than ten years. Also performing will be New Harmony, bringing a latin flare to the holidays. This will be New Harmony's first U.S. performance since recently returning from a four-month deployment to Central and South America. There will be something for everyone at these concerts, to include vocal selections, special effects, a children's portion, and a sing-a-long. Musical selections will include a blend of old and new. Concert-goers can look forward to hearing holiday songs by Stan Kenton, Harry Connick Jr., Glenn Miller, Mannheim Steamroller and many other Christmas favorites. Band of Flight Deputy Commander 2nd Lt. Daniel W. Boothe said that this year's concert will be "a holiday concert to remember!" Though free events, tickets are required and will be available to the Wright-Patterson community at three ticket distribution centers around the base.
