Wright-Patt celebrates newest Chief selects Published Nov. 8, 2024 By 88th Air Base Wing Public Affairs WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- The Air Force has announced its newest chief master sergeant selects – and the list includes 10 names from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. This year's promotion cycle, Air Force officials selected 503 senior master sergeants for promotion out of 2,275 eligible for a selection rate of 22.1 percent. Wright-Patt also has the distinction of one of its selectees having line number 1. Historically, only the top 1 percent of the enlisted force will reach the Air Force’s peak NCO rank.
