UPDATE: The 2023 CFC Trivia with the Charities event has been rescheduled for Nov. 3 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Wright-Patt Club.

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio – The Dayton District’s 62nd annual Combined Federal Campaign kickoff event is set for Oct. 12 to raise awareness among potential donors hoping to support charities nationwide and in the Miami Valley.

The kickoff event, which will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the USO on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, will provide attendees with the opportunity to engage with charities, hear testimonials and learn how to contribute to CFC.

The event is free and open to those who have base access.

“The kickoff event will provide a perfect opportunity to help those interested in supporting the CFC learn how far their generous donations can go and who they can support,” said Lt. Col. Olga Brandt, director of staff at the Air Force Installation Contracting Center and 2023 CFC Dayton District chair.

Local campaign organizers will also host the 17th annual CFC Awareness Golf Outing on Oct. 6 at Twin Base Golf Course, with registration starting at 8 a.m. The event’s format is a four-person scramble and limited to the first 32 teams.

With a theme of “Give Happy,” the local CFC will run from Oct. 4 to Nov. 17. The federal campaign began Sept. 1 and will conclude Jan. 14.

Overseen by the Office of Personnel Management, CFC works each year to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee-focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees and retirees the opportunity to improve quality of life for all.

CFC is the world’s largest and most successful annual workplace-charity campaign with almost 200 operations throughout the country and oversees raising millions of dollars each year.

Pledges made by federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season will support eligible nonprofit organizations that provide health and human services benefits throughout the world.
