Teams compete during Wright-Patterson Police Week Defender's Challenge

WRIGHT- PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio – Ten teams will compete during a Defender’s Challenge as part of Wright-Patterson’s commemoration of National Police Week, Thursday, May 18.

The five-hour event, hosted by the 88th Air Base Wing Security Forces Squadron at the Warrior Training Facility, will showcase teams of three to five participants battling in a series of physical challenges while wearing a 25-pound weighted vest to see who can secure the top three spots.

Media opportunities will begin at 10 a.m.

The event is open to all military organizations and law enforcement agencies including civilians.

Challenges will include a Humvee push, weapons disassembly/assembly, 200-meter row and a team relay.

The Defender’s Challenge is part of National Police Week, May 15-19, which celebrates the work and sacrifices of Defenders with events and ceremonies.
