Wright-Patt honors military children in recognition ceremony at 4:30 p.m. April 21

WRIGHT- PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio -- Wright-Patt will host and celebrate children of deployed Airmen during the Little Heroes Recognition Ceremony at 4:30 p.m. April 21 at the Wright-Patt Club.

As April is designated the Month of the Military Child, the ceremony was created to highlight the important role children play in the military community.

Each Little Hero will be recognized by receiving a medallion, teddy bear and certificate. Volunteers will be dressed as superheroes to thank and cheer them on.

Media attending this event must RSVP no later than noon April 21 to Sarah Amato at 937-522-3252 or by emailing sarah.amato@us.af.mil with the attendees name, driver’s license number and driver’s license state of issuance.

Those media covering the event must meet at the Hope Hotel parking lot near Gate 12A by 4 p.m. A member of 88th Air Base Wing Public Affairs will escort you onto the installation.
