Shoppers will have until Jan. 31 for returns on purchases made from Nov. 1 to Dec. 24 at the Wright-Patterson Exchange or ShopMyExchange.com. “There’s always so much going on around the holidays,” Wright-Patterson Exchange General Manager Adam Shaw said. “The Wright-Patterson Exchange wants to make sure shoppers are able to make returns on their own schedule.” The Exchange’s regular policy allows returns from 15 to 90 days after purchase with a receipt, depending on the item. If an item’s regular return window extends past Jan. 31, that date will be honored. Some exclusions apply. For more information, shoppers can speak with an Exchange associate or call 800-527-2345 for online returns. Send troops a ‘piece of home’ with Exchange gift cards Anyone — including civilians — can spread holiday cheer worldwide, bringing joy and a piece of home to service members and their families with AAFES gift card. Any American can send a morale-boosting gift card, ranging from $10 to $500, to Airmen, Guardians, Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, military retirees or veterans by visiting ShopMyExchange.com and clicking “Purchase Gift Cards” at the bottom of the page. “The Exchange salutes heroes serving across the globe this holiday season,” Shaw said. “Many service members are away from their families during the holidays and, although we can’t bring them all home, we are honored to provide a piece of home to make their holidays a little brighter. Exchange gift cards can be used for virtually anything, including a holiday meal or a new tablet for a video call with family.” Service members can use Exchange gift cards at AAFES outlets worldwide. Gift cards can also be redeemed online at ShopMyExchange.com. Exchange shoppers can support AFAF during holidays While AAFES shoppers are gift-hunting and preparing for the holidays, they can also lend a helping hand to Airmen, Guardians and military families facing difficulties by donating to the Air Force Assistance Fund at checkout in the Wright-Patterson Exchange and online. Wright-Patterson Exchange and Express customers can donate to AFAF in increments of $1, $5, $10 or more when checking out. Online donations can be made in $5 increments at ShopMyExchange.com. Since the Exchange partnered with AFAF in 2017, military shoppers have donated more than $2.3 million to help Airmen, Guardians, retirees and their families in need. Year-round giving at the Exchange was introduced in 2020. “The holidays can be a particularly difficult time of year,” said Tom Shull, Exchange director and CEO. “Every dollar Exchange shoppers donate helps support service members and families who may be struggling.” AFAF provides financial assistance, sponsors educational scholarship grants for military family members, and offers community programs to make life better for service members and their families.
