During the “After Party at The Greene” on Sept. 17 in Beavercreek, officials announced the HH-60W Jolly Green II, MH-139 Grey Wolf and UN-1N Huey as the featured helicopters. “We are very excited to feature helicopters for our 2023 event,” Air Force Marathon Director Rachel Ferguson said. “These aircraft serve in very important rescue missions for the Air Force, and we are looking forward to highlighting their roles and responsibilities and how they keep our country safe.” After three days of festivities, this year’s marathon participants were invited to a celebratory after party. The event included a parachutist gliding down with the American flag while the Air Force Band of Flight played the national anthem, as well as a pop-up beer garden.
