JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas – The Association of Advance Collegiate Schools of Business recognized Air Force Installation Contracting Agency Commander Brig. Gen. Alice Trevino as one of its 2019 Influential Leaders Feb. 5.

“AACSB is honored to recognize Brig. Gen. Alice Trevino and congratulates the Naval Postgraduate School for its role in preparing alumni who are leading examples of business education as a force for good in the world,” said Thomas Robinson, AACSB president and chief executive officer.

The general is a 2007 distinguished graduate of NPS’s Graduate School of Business and Public Policy where she earned a Masters of Business Administration.

“The diversity of backgrounds, industries and career paths of the 2019 Class of Influential Leaders demonstrates that AACSB-accredited schools are preparing graduates to succeed wherever their passions may take them,” Robinson said.

In response to receiving the award, Trevino said, “I am honored to represent NPS for this award and to be nominated. I’m thankful for the GSBPP Dean Bill Gates, NPS faculty and fellow 2007 graduates that helped me on my educational journey and realize I’m still learning.

“I’m also grateful to serve as one of the recipients and endeavor alongside of all my Department of Defense peers in service to our Nation,” she said.  “Additionally, I thank NPS for continuing to educate and inspire our next generation with the highest of standards to innovate and contribute to the lethality for our Joint Warfighters!”
Each year the AACSB recognizes international alumni “who personify the role as a visionary figure or change agent,” according to the organizations website. This year’s class of honorees represent a variety of industries, countries and backgrounds.
