As a service to our customers, Bioenvironmental Engineering also provides Industrial and Gas Mask Fit Testing in Area A and Area B on multiple days of the week. 

Gas Mask fit testing is scheduled through your UDM.  Appointments are:

     Wednesdays: 0800-1100/1300-1430 (MDG/PH Hallway)

Industrial Respirator fit-testing is scheduled through your Workplace Supervisor.  Appointments are:
     2nd Tuesday of the month: 0800-1100/1300-1445 (MDG/PH Hallway) for N95 respirators only.
     Thursdays: 0800-1100/1300-1445 (Area B, Bldg. 675, 2nd Floor)  for all respirator types; N95, Air purifying Respirators (APR) and supplied air or SCBAs.

Note: a picture ID is required for all donations. Wright-Patterson Medical Center Forms 6551 and 6551-a must be completed for autologous blood collection. A physician's order is required for therapeutic phlebotomy and expires six months after the date signed. Please call the donor center for questions concerning bone marrow donations.

The cardiology department offers comprehensive clinical evaluation and treatment for a wide range of cardiac conditions. Our diagnostic department has both invasive and non-invasive capability. Referrals are required.

The Dermatology Clinic provides diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions for patients with a disease not directly associated with trauma. Patients need a referral.

Diagnostic Imaging offers a full range of services from simple x-rays to the highly sophisticated magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and Nuclear Medicine PET/CT scans. Once your provider determines that you need a diagnostic imaging procedure, bring your request to the diagnostic imaging reception clerk. At that time you will be given pre-procedure instructions and other materials necessary for the specific procedure to be performed. Routine radiographs such as chests, sinuses, spine, abdomen, extremities, etc., are accomplished the same day they are requested on a walk-in basis. Patients will normally be seen the same day when arriving between 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. All other procedures to include MRI and nuclear medicine are scheduled on a first come first serve availability. Please report to MRI or Nuclear Medicine front desks to schedule those procedures.

The Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to treat potentially life-threatening emergencies.  Patients are promptly seen based on the severity of their illness or injury to include loss of life, limb, or eyesight.

What is an emergency?  As defined by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010, "A condition with acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) that a person who possesses an average knowledge of health and medicine could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in--(i) placing the health of the individual (or an unborn child) in serious jeopardy, (ii) serious impairment of bodily functions, or (iii) serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part."

The ENT clinic specializes in surgical care for disorders of the head and neck and does require a referral.

Endocrinologists are physicians who specialize in disorders of endocrine glands. They evaluate and treat patients with thyroid disorders, adrenal gland disorders, pituitary gland problems and metabolic abnormalities such as diabetes or calcium regulation. A referral is required for this clinic.

The mission of the Family Advocacy Program (FAP) is to build healthy Air Force communities by developing, implementing, and evaluating policies and programs to prevent, intervene in, and treat child and spouse maltreatment.

The Flight Medicine Clinic provides total routine care for aircrew members and their adult dependents. Pediatric patients are seen by the Pediatric and Adolescent Clinic. Flight Surgeons also provide routine care to those in special operations duty, such as air traffic controllers.

This clinic provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for issues within the gastrointestinal system. Specific services provided include: Colonoscopy, Upper Endoscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, and Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio-Pancreatography (ERCP). The clinic also offers a colorectal cancer screening class for those who are 50 and older or with a personal/family history of colon cancer.

Services are available for active duty, dependents and retirees. Patients must be 18 years of age or older.

A referral is required from your Primary Care Manager (PCM). Appointments are scheduled through both the Appointment Line as well as the Referral Management Center. Acute appointments are available on a case-by-case basis only after provider-to-GI provider communication.

The General Surgery Clinic provides a complete line of surgical and sub-specialty care, including: General, Thoracic, Vascular, Colo-rectal, Surgical Oncology and Plastic Surgery. Care is available to all eligible beneficiaries. Initial access is by referral only.

The Wright-Patterson Medical Center Health and Wellness Center's focus encompasses the following principles of health promotion:

What we offer - Education, Counseling & Training in accordance with Air Force Instruction 10-248, United States Air Force Fitness Program.

This is a walk-in clinic.  Active duty patients have priority.

Patients are recommended to wait in the clinic after receiving immunizations for 15 minutes.  After receiving Japanese Encephalitis, a patient must wait 30 minutes in the clinic.

This clinic provides services for patients with infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, latent tuberculosis infection, osteomyelitis, and other infections. Referral is required.

The clinic also advises international travelers on issues pertaining to malaria chemoprophylaxis, immunizations, and traveler's diarrhea. Referral for travel clinic is not required; travelers should contact the clinic directly.

The Internal Medicine Clinic offers outpatient care to active duty members, their dependents, and retirees. A consult is needed in order to obtain an appointment in the clinic. For those who are stationed at Wright-Patterson, your primary provider will make a referral if your condition warrants an evaluation by an internist. If you are PCSing to Wright-Patterson and are under the care of an internist at another facility, request that your physician write a consult so that we may continue to provide quality care.

The Wright-Patterson Medical Center Laboratory oversees specimen collection and phlebotomy services for all active duty, retirees and their dependents. Services include: laboratory services for outside providers on tests performed in-house and at military reference laboratories; bleeding times on adults and pediatric patients; glucose tolerance testing; and coordination of special studies.

(Parental Consent) Children under the age of 18 years usually cannot be treated medically without parental consent. Parents can designate a third party (caregiver, relative, etc.) to authorize care for their children. This is especially important for military parents who travel frequently.

The medical center is required by law to deny non-emergency care to minors. An "Authorization for Medical Care" is available in the Outpatient and Pediatric records sections for parents to designate another adult to "consent for care" for their children for use at this Medical Center only.

The Mental Health Clinic offers outpatient care to active duty personnel, retirees, and their family members. Inpatient care, if necessary, will be arranged using local resources.

The center provides adult, adolescent, and child evaluation and treatment of psychiatric and emotional disorders. Other services include Neuropsychology, Biofeedback, and Medical Social Work.
