Hours of Operation: 7: 15 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday
Comprehensive dental care is provided for all active duty military personnel assigned to Wright- Patterson in one of the largest and best-equipped dental clinics in the Air Force.
Eligible patients with dental emergencies (acute severe pain, bleeding, significant swelling or trauma) can call the Dental Clinic for a screening appointment. Hours are 7:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. On weekends, holidays, and after normal duty hours, dental emergencies call or report to the Wright-Patterson Medical Center's emergency room.
Active duty will be contacted to schedule their periodic dental exam appointment. Follow-on appointments are made at the time of the periodic dental exam appointment or by calling the Dental Clinic.
All non-active duty eligible beneficiaries are strongly encouraged to enroll in the Active Duty Family Member Dental Plan or the Retiree's Dental Plan.
New accession dental officers undergo training here in a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) training program.
Periodically there may be a requirement for unique, hard to find cases to meet the needs of the residency program. These requirements may be fulfilled using non-active duty patients. These cases are limited, and advertised only if no active duty patients can be found to fulfill these requirements.
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a separate clinic within the facility.

Oral and maxillofacial surgery is the specialty of dentistry which includes diagnosis, surgical, and adjunctive treatment of disease, injuries, and defects involving both the functional and aesthetic aspects of the hard and soft tissue of the oral and maxillofacial areas.
