711th HPW recovery science team hopes to extend AF careers
Dr. Josh Hagen, 711th Human Performance Wing Airman Systems Signature Tracking for Optimized Nutrition and Training (STRONG) team lead, explains how Flotation Restricted Environmental Stimulating Therapy (REST) is administered. Flotation-REST a sensory deprivation tank containing 900 pounds of epsom salt in body temperature water, which gives the feeling of weightlessness.
