Air Force Emergency Notification Signal
The new Air Force Emergency Notification Signal visual aid includes the new alarm for active shooter. In the event of an active shooter on base, the phrase ‘Lock down, lock down, lock down’ will be repeated three times over the base-wide public address system known as Giant Voice. When the alarm is sounded, it means that an active shooter incident is in progress and all personnel should take immediate action to implement lock down procedures based on their location.
