Master Sgt. Alan Braden was recognized with the 12 United States Air Force Outstanding Airmen of the Year award. The 12 Outstanding Airmen award recognizes the very best of enlisted Airman from active duty, Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve. The recipients were selected based on their superior leadership, job performance, community involvement, and personal achievements.

During the Rapid Structural Health Monitoring Designs for Structural Hot Spots testing, AFRL engineers used sensors such as the ones shown to detect and monitor crack growth in a test article. Studying the ability to detect these cracks will help researchers move closer toward a fieldable Structural Health Monitoring system for real-time damage detection on aircraft. (AFRL photo)

Several members of the Miami Valley Pet Therapy Group recently participated in the Heroes Welcoming Hereoes at the National Museum of the United States Air Force.
