Astronaut Col. Mike Fossum visits AFIT

The Air Force Institute of Technology invites guest speaker Astronaut Col. Mike Fossum for luncheon at Holiday Inn, Fairborn, Ohio on 23 February 2012, Honoring National Engineers Week. Col. Fossum, a graduate of AFIT, served as a test pilot and Flight Test Engineer at Edwards AFB from 1989 to 1992. In 1993 Col. Fossum went to work for NASA as a systems engineer responsible for evaluating the Russian Soyuz spacecraft. Selected by NASA as an Astronaut Candidate in June 1998, Col. The Air Force Institute of Technology invites guest speaker Astronaut Col. Mike Fossum for luncheon at Holiday Inn, Fairborn, Ohio on 23 February 2012, Honoring National Engineers Week. Col. Timothy Lawrence, AFIT Commandant presents Col. Fossum with a copy of his thesis that he submitted when he was at AFIT. Only two volumes were presented because the third volume is still classified. Col. Fossum , a graduate of AFIT, served as a test pilot and Flight Test Engineer at Edwards AFB from 1989 to 1992. In 1993 Col. Fossum went to work for NASA as a systems engineer responsible for evaluating the Russian Soyuz spacecraft. Selected by NASA as an Astronaut Candidate in June 1998, Col.
