Air Force Marathon attracts nearly 10,000 runners

Nearly 10,000 run in Air Force Marathon

John Moore of Centerville, Ohio, pilots a hand cycle during the U.S. Air Force Marathon Sept. 19, 2009 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Moore was paralyzed from the waist down in Septermber 2008 during an accident following the passage of Hurricane Ike. He is a firefighter with the city of Kettering, Ohio. Nearly 10,000 run in Air Force Marathon

Airmen to test stain resistant boot

About 200 Airmen from Luke Air Force Base, Ariz. were fitted to wear test a prototype stain resistant boot. The current boot, seen at right, stains when exposed to industrial environments.
