Dr. Tim Edwards is leading the Air Force Research Laboratory's efforts to develop alternative biofuels like this camelina oil-based jet fuel in intermediate storage at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The Air Force is about to embark on certification testing for hyro-treated renewable jet (HRJ) fuels, derived from animal fats and plant oils, which are blended with traditional JP-8.
