Once CLS-certified, servicemembers are trained to provide immediate care, administer IV fluids to control shock, and perform needle chest decompression for a casualty with tension pneumothorax. Blood drive scheduled for fellow wing member
WRIGHT-PATTERSON AFB, Ohio - Master Sgt. Sandi Golden-Vest, 445th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, was recently diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) sub type 2. Because of her current medical condition and multiple blood transfusions, she needs units of blood and a bone marrow transplant. The 445 AES is sponsoring a blood and bone marrow drive Saturday, Feb. 7, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the American Legion, 526 Legion Lane in Fairborn, Ohio.
