Conference focuses on warfighter training and simulation

Chris Honious and Jonetta White flew from Dayton, Ohio to Orlando, Fla. to participate in the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference, Nov. 29 - Dec. 2, 2010. The I/ITSEC conference assembled the top researchers and developers of training and simulation technologies for the largest annual event of its kind in the world. Brig. Gen. Bunch

Brig. Gen. Arnold W. Bunch Jr., 312th Aeronautical Systems Wing commander, visits with the 419th Flight Test Squadron workforce Aug. 17. The general dropped by for a few hours to see the bomber test programs here at Edwards. He served as 412th Test Wing commander from January 2006 to May 2008. General Bunch currently serves as the Air Force Program Executive Officer for Fighters and Bombers, Aeronautical Systems Center, at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. He is responsible for cost, schedule, performance, and life-cycle management of the fighter and bomber attack portfolio. This includes the A-10, B-1, B-52, F-15, F-16, Joint Helmet-Mounted Cueing System and panoramic night vision goggles. This portfolio provides horizontal integration among the weapon systems and performs capability planning for the Global Strike Task Force. He is also responsible for the organization, training, and equipment for the F-35, F-22,and B-2 System Program Offices.

Dayton area veteran receives France’s highest honor

Brig. Gen. Walter Givhan presents retired Air Force Col. Byron Lee Schatzley with the Knight of the Legion of Honor medal July 13 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
