Adair Kamentz with the Clover Canine 4-H Club, Warren County, Ohio presents a donated set of protective goggles, booties and cool vest to Tech. Sgt. Kelly Mylott, kennel master with the 88th Security Forces Squadron military working dog section at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Each donated kit, valued at $300, provides comfort to military working dogs during desert deployments. To date, as a result of the leadership of Springfield, Ohio resident Starline Nunley, 46 sets of protective gear have been donated to deployed military working dog kennels from all military services. Darlene Poindexter, a 338th Recruiting Squadron recruiter, caught up with Rahal/Letterman Racing Team owner David Letterman in the pit area of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway prior to the 92nd Indianapolis 500 May 25. Recruiters from the 330th and 338th Recruiting squadrons participated in pre-race activities and spoke to drivers and teams about the Air Force mission. Air Force recruiters are actively involved with race fans at the speedway each year during qualifications weekend through interactive displays as part of an Armed Forces Day salute to the military.
