New Year's bundle of Joy
New parents Erick and Nicole Muncy proudly show off their newborn son, Dravyn Dane Muncy, at Wright-Patt Medical Center, Jan. 1. Dravyn was the first baby born this year in the Dayton area. Dravyn came into this world weighing in at 7-pounds 2-ounces and was 21.4-inches-long.

Doctors perform groundbreaking surgery at Walter Reed
Senior Airman Tre Porfirio poses with Lt. Col. While serving with an Army unit in Afghanistan, Airman Porfirio was shot three times in the back by an insurgent Nov. 21. Airmen Porfirio and Cross are assigned to the 88th Communications Squadron at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Colonel Johns is the 88th CS commander.

First Flight
