President and Vice President meet Airmen supporting Operation Unified Response
President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden meet with Airmen at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. Base gates receive new look
Gate 12A here receives the finishing touches to newly installed canopies. Gate 12A will reopen May 15 at 1 p.m. and resume 24-hour gate access for Areas A and C. Gate 1B will reopen May 17 and resume normal operating hours from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday – Friday, for those traveling to and from Area B. After the reopening, Gate 8C will no longer be accessible. The renovations were designed to protect security personnel and motorist from the elements and enhance force protection entry control procedures.
