The Air Force Institute of Technology invites guest speaker Astronaut Col. Mike Fossum for luncheon at Holiday Inn, Fairborn, Ohio on 23 February 2012, Honoring National Engineers Week. Col. Fossum, a graduate of AFIT, served as a test pilot and Flight Test Engineer at Edwards AFB from 1989 to 1992. In 1993 Col. Fossum went to work for NASA as a systems engineer responsible for evaluating the Russian Soyuz spacecraft. Selected by NASA as an Astronaut Candidate in June 1998, Col.
