New Gate 1A

Work continues on the new Gate 1A that will close off State Route 444 adjacent to the Wright-Patterson Commissary. The barriers closing the road are scheduled to go up at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9. After that time, both Gates 12A and the current 1A will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Signs will be set up to direct trafffic from those gates to the Kittyhawk Area. Registrants pick up bibs and goodie bags at the Air Force Marathon Expo. Hundreds of volunteers staff the two-day event is held each year in the Nutter Center.
