U.S. Air Force Fact Sheet ADMISSION - WPMC Telephone: 257-9183/9184 Location: Main Floor Hours of Operation: 24 hours The Admissions and Dispositions (A&D) office will formally admit you to a Nursing Unit in the medical center that is appropriate for your care. Necessary information is entered into the computer system regarding you or your sponsor's duty address, phone number, emergency contacts, address where health records are kept, and civilian insurance. PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL * No alcohol consumption 24 hours beforehand * Remove nail polish * Wear comfortable, easy-to-remove clothing * Pack light. You may bring your own pajamas, bathrobe, and slippers, but keep in mind there is little room for storage. Military issue is available. * Leave all valuables at home. (Jewelry, including watches, cannot be worn during surgery.) * Children under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian or parent for interviews and tests. * Other instructions assigned by your physician.
