Short-term Research & Development Program

The Information Directorate is seeking faculty members and accompanying graduate students in technical fields to collaborate with research staff in Rome, New York for the summer of 2011.

Faculty qualifications
U.S. citizen, permanent-resident, or Foreign National, (Foreign Nationals may apply), current full-time faculty member of an accredited U.S. college, university, or technical institution, and at least 2 years of teaching and research experience.

Graduate student qualifications
U.S. citizen or permanent-resident, bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, and current full-time student in an accredited graduate program in a field related to the laboratory disciplines.

Undergraduate student qualifications
U.S. citizen or permanent-resident, pursuing a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and current full-time student in an accredited graduate program in a field related to the laboratory disciplines.

General Terms of the Program
If selected, expect to work continuously for an 8 to 12 week period between May and September, 2011. At the program conclusion, you must write and present a final report summarizing your accomplishments.

Compensation
Varies between $700 to $1700 per week based on education and faculty level within the University. Per diem may be authorized given qualifications.
