AFRL/RYH
(Electromagnetics Technology Division)
Mission Statement
The Electromagnetics Technology Division (RYH) invents new theories, devices, and systems for advanced sensing applications across the entire electromagnetic spectrum. We create new technologies to improve weapon system performance, advanced national defense capabilities, and satisfy emerging warfighter needs for the Air Force. We serve our parent Directorate, AF organizations, and other DoD customers through our in-house research programs, supplemented by university/industry collaborations and contractual efforts. The division recently relocated from Hanscom AFB, MA to Wright-Patterson AFB, OH with new state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. Our workforce of over 50 DoD civilians, military, and contract scientists and engineers, 80 percent of whom have PhDs, are organized into four branches.
