Mission Statement
Leads the AF in development of electronic devices for sensing for next generation military aerospace systems. In-house and contractual programs range from basic research and exploratory development to advanced device demonstration efforts. Explores evolutionary and revolutionary device development and conducts feasibility demonstration efforts on devices and circuits with potential for high frequency microwave/millimeter wave and high speed electronics applications.

Conducts both in-house and contractual efforts focused on the development and validation of comprehensive design tools and integration techniques for RF and mixed signal devices and components. These complex components are the building blocks critical to high performance signal integrity, advanced signal processing, high efficiency power conversion/distribution, and transmit/receive functions required to meet the performance requirements and cost goals of future high performance Air Force aerospace applications

Mission Statement
Conducts revolutionary electromagnetic material development for the exploitation of microwave, millimeter wave, and optical frequencies for application in device, circuit and subsystems for next generation AF sensor systems. Conducts analysis, modeling and initial feasibility demonstration for advanced concepts. Maintains expert level awareness in revolutionary technology areas. Works with other branches in RYD to mature promising technologies and initiates transition of key technologies to AF user organizations and industry.
