AFMETCAL manages the Air Force Metrology and Calibration Program and is located in central Ohio in the city of Heath at the former Newark Air Force Base. The unit is part of the Central Ohio Aerospace and Technology Center campus comprising of six of the top 20 contractors for the Department of Defense. The campus is managed and developed by the Heath-Newark-Licking County Port Authority.

Common Access Card (CAC) Issuance/Renewal
The Real-Time Automated Personnel Identification System (RAPIDS) Work station at AFMETCAL, Heath, Ohio, is currently up and operational for Department of Defense (DoD) civilian and military active duty personnel. Although we are unable to issue military dependent ID cards or any type of retiree cards, the Resources Section is available to assist DoD employees with Common Access Card (CAC) issuance/renewal by appointment only. Appointments will be scheduled Tuesday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon only and can be made by calling (740) 788-5101 (DSN 366-5101) or (740) 788-5041 (DSN 366-5041).
