AFPTEF performed testing on recycled plastic pallets for use with the MXU-650 Bomb Fin containers (drums) for Air Warfare Battlelab, Mountain Home. Testing was performed to ensure that the plastic pallets would provide shipping, handling, and outdoor storage ability for the containers. Testing, with slight modifications, was performed in accordance with ASTM D 1185 and ASTM D 4169, and consisted of stacking, rough-handling, and vibration tests. All tests were performed at AFPTEF. All pallets and containers used in testing were supplied by Air Warfare Battlelab. |
