AFRL/RI ORGANIZATIONS
AFRL/RIB Division Office
The Strategic Planning & Integration Division (RIB) is responsible for the Directorate's long range technical and business plan. It provides the strategic planning function for the Director and is responsible for analysis, program tracking and coordination activities associated with the formulation of technical goals and the execution of programs.
AFRL/RIE Division, Branch and Section Offices
To lead the discovery, development, and integration of affordable products addressing intelligence community technology requirements for our air, space, and cyberspace force. The division also conducts selected acquisition programs for low-volume, limited quantity systems for the intelligence community.
AFRL/RIF Division and Branch Offices
This office serves as financial advisor and counselor in business management matters to the director and staff. It also determines comptroller policies and procedures pertaining to the establishment and management of budgeting, accounting services, program cost analysis, program and statistical reporting, and management information.
AFRL/RIG Division, Branch and Section Offices
The Information Grid Division conducts broad based R&D to enable the seamless exchange of information through a global information grid consisting of distributed information systems connected by ground, air, and space communications.
AFRL/RII Division Office
The Corporate Information Office (CIO) oversees the continuous integration and alignment of information technology (IT) with directorate business practices that require the management and presentation of corporate information.
AFRL/RIJ Division Office
The Mission of the Information Directorate legal office is to insure that legal policies, processes, and resources are in place and are effectively used to carry out the Directorate's mission.
AFRL/RIK Division and Branch Offices
Supports the Information Directorate in three primary ways: It negotiates, awards and administers (1) contracts for research, development and systems; (2) assistance instruments to support and stimulate research for the public good; and (3) purchase orders, contracts and other acquisition instruments for operational support in the form of supplies, services and construction. Supports Sensors Directorate personnel at the Rome Research Site as necessary.
AFRL/RIN Division Office
Plans, develops, and leads implementation of organizational developed (OD) within the Directorate. Teaches behavioral skills (decision making, problem solving, planning, communicating, teamwork, etc.) to workforce which can be applied to improve and mature the Directorate. Develops an environment that effectively communications at every level and builds trust and collaborative relationships between stakeholders, leadership and the workforce.
AFRL/RIO Division, Branch and Section Offices
Sustain and support installation operations for the Rome Research Site community by delivering quality facilities, environmental services, communication and information systems, logistics activities, force protection, and human resource services, enabling the AFRL Information Directorate to develop, field, facilitate and sustain war-winning capabilities and provide effective mission support.
AFRL/RIS Division, Branch and Section Offices
To lead the discovery, development, and integration of innovative technologies and systems that provide state-of-the-art, integrated command and control and information management technologies for Air Force and joint warfighters.
AFRL/RIT Division and Branch Offices
To lead the discovery, development, demonstration, transition and integration of affordable broad-based computing and information technologies providing information superiority of Air Force air, space and cyberspace systems.
AFRL/RIZ Division Office
The Special Program Division supports all Rome Research Site programs with the unique military facilities, equipment, and training required for timely laboratory support to military operations. In addition, the Special Programs Division is also the Rome Research Site's security focal point for special security matters.
