COLONEL WILLIAM P. MUELLER
He previously served as the MAJCOM Pilot-Physician for Air Education and Training Command (AETC) at Randolph AFB, TX, where he established a MAJCOM Human Systems Integration team in support of AETC acquisition and sustainment initiatives. Col Mueller was born in Oak Park, IL. He was first commissioned a second lieutenant upon graduating from the United States Air Force Academy in 1987. He served as a pilot for seven years before attending medical school at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences and becoming a physician in 1998. Col Mueller became a pilot-physician in 2000 and was assigned to fly the B-1 bomber. He flew as a B-1 Aircraft Commander in Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), and went on to become a B-1 instructor pilot and operational test pilot. He completed residency and board-certification in Family Medicine in 2008.
