Air Force Materiel Command's Freedom's Call Tattoo is a cost-free family celebration that will have something for everyone. For adults, there will be live music from country music singer Kestin Howard, central Ohio country rock band, McGuffey Lane, and the popular Air Force Band of Flight. The United States Air Force Wings of Blue parachuting team will also perform at the event. To wrangle energetic kids, there will be a children's play area with various activities. For those who are hungry and thirsty, local vendors will be on hand. We'll cap off the night with a spectacular fireworks display starting at 10 p.m. Come out and enjoy the evening with the family at this Star Spangled event!

USAF Wings of Blue

The Wings of Blue is a parachuting demonstration team that travels across the country to airshows, sporting events, and other venues to represent the Air Force.

USAF Recruiting Services

Air Force Recruiting will have a stellar display on hand to highlight what it's like to be an American Airman.

Kids Zone

A children's play area with various activities for the kids will be available for the whole family to share in the fun. 

High School Drumlines

Area high schools will entertain guests as they enter the grounds.

Freedom's Call 2015 will provide some of the best FREE live entertainment in the Miami Valley this year. Several performers with their own unique styles will entertain our guests.

Meet the performers:

Kestin Howard

Born and raised in the mountains of eastern Kentucky, Kestin Howard is a
country singer that is proud of his roots. Raised in the backwoods of
Mousie, Kentucky, Kestin has been singing and playing music since he was six years old. He continued to build his talent over the years, learning to write and perform his own music, which led to his debut album back in 2011 titled "My Daddy's Dream". His blend of country and rock music along with his deep, soulful voice has caught the attention of people from all over.

McGuffey Lane

McGuffey Lane is a country rock band from central Ohio. They've been playing since the 70's. They released their latest album, "10" in 2010.

USAF Band of Flight Systems Go

The Air Force Band of Flight's Systems Go is a popular music combo from the United States Air Force Band of Flight, stationed here at Wright-Patt. A multi-task group, Systems Go is the Band of Flight's main recruiting element for the Air Force. The group tours extensively throughout the school-year to high schools across the Midwest promoting the Air Force and the many opportunities it provides.

          the National Museum of the USAF

Located at the intersection of Spinning 
          Rd. and Airway Rd.
   -  Gate 22B
       - Located just off of Col. Glenn Highway

The event is open to the general public. Admission and parking are free.  Recorded event information is available by calling 937-255-7207.

 As one of the largest single-site employers in Ohio and spanning four counties, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base receives outstanding support from its surrounding communities even as its people give back by helping to defend America.

The event will feature on-stage performances and fireworks. Static displays of military equipment, bouncy castles and other activities for children are all a part of this very special event.

Fireworks!Gates will open at 4:00 p.m. The event begins promptly at 6 p.m. and concludes with fireworks under the night sky.  Freedom's Call can be accessed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base through the National Museum main entrance on Springfield Pike (Gate 28B),  the Armory gate on Harshman Rd. and the gate at the intersection of Airway and Spinning Roads.  Gate 22B will be open only for visitors with base identification.

Home at last!
Freedom's Call is designed to be a family-friendly, outdoor event for people of all ages.  

Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and a camera.

Please note for security reasons that coolers, backpacks, skateboards, in-line skates and glass bottles, knives and weapons of any kind, to include pepper spray, are not permitted. Pets are not permitted on the event grounds, so please leave your furry friends at home.  Strollers, infant diaper bags, cameras and their cases, small purses and pocketbooks are permitted, but subject to inspection. Refreshments are available for purchase during the event from an expanded number of concessionaires.

tabRTA Shuttle Buses
RTA buses ease traffic congestion

The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority and Wright State University have partnered with Wright-Patterson AFB to provide transportation to and from Freedom's Call 2015.

Interested spectators may park at the Nutter Center in Lot #20 (Click here for map).  RTA buses will run every 10 to 15 minutes from 4:00 to 11 p.m.  Click on the RTA image below for a parking map at the Nutter Center.

Riders may bring lawn chairs and blankets on the buses. 

RTA provides handicap-accessible buses.

Motorcyclists are encouraged to use the hard-surface parking at the Nutter Center and ride the RTA shuttle to the event.
