AFRL Balanced Scorecard
The AFRL Balanced Scorecard is a house depiction that encompasses the three AFRL mission impact areas, six AFRL key enterprise metrics, three AFRL status metrics, and six AFMC command-wide foundation metrics. The ultimate goal of the AFRL BSC house is to provide war-winning capabilities on time and on cost. The house foundation includes AFRL status measures: Develop & deploy virtual center capability; Focus on customers; and Integrate& streamline AFRL business operations as well as the AFMC command measures: Balance Investment in Installation and Mission Infrastructure, Protect People, Information and Assets; Deliver a Competency-based Workforce; Institutionalize Realistic Planning; Develop Supervisors; and Create a Wellness-Focused and Safe Workforce. The house foundation feeds directly into the house structure. The house structure known as mission areas includes the six AFRL key enterprise metrics: Pursue& connect foundational and emerging S&T to help discover for Technology; Align to customer requirements (ATDs, ACTDs); and Build a repeatable quick response capability to develop and deliver for Acquisition and Sustainment; Clarify technical challenges for future test requirements to coordinate for Test; and Drive cross-domain collaboration to assist in Technology, Acquisition, Sustainment and Test. The house structure feeds directly into the house roof. The house roof known as mission impact includes three AFRL impacts: Develop Technology for Future System Concepts (AF Decision Makers); Provide Transitionable Technology for Systems (Acquisition/Sustainment Program Managers); and Deliver Technology Solutions for Urgent Needs (Warfighters).
