Miami Valley Pipe Drums
The Miami Valley Pipes and Drums is an area pipe and drum corps comprised of residents of the greater Dayton area. The band formed in 2000 as a Fire and Police pipe band and has now grown to over 30 pipers and drummers in various stages of learning. The band is representative of many different aspects of the community: Military, Education, Medical, Police, Fire and more. Under the leadership of Pipe Major Richard “Pipie” Parker, the Miami Valley Pipes and Drums provide education and performance of the Celtic pipes and drums as well as providing a public venue for the traditions of Highland piping and drumming and their history.
