The Base Education and Training Flight here is offering a number of fall classes for the Wright-Patt community.

Most classes are no-cost and are open to all Wright-Patterson employees, both military and civilian. Class sessions are held at the Education and Training Flight in Bldg. 50, Area B.

"Our professionally presented classes rival or exceed any that may be purchased through vendors," said Susan A. Sandberg, course developer with the 88th Mission Support Squadron Education and Training Flight.

A number of the course offerings are self-improvement focused, such as Briefing Preparation and Presentation, Excellence in Customer Satisfaction, Generations in the Workplace, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Introduction, and Emotional Intelligence. In addition, those looking to improve their computer skills, can choose from several course levels in applications Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project.

"We now also offer some mandatory courses as well, including Air Force Core Values, Interactive Supervisory Skills, The U.S. Air Force Supervisory Course, and Critical Skills for Intervention," Sandberg said.

Employees with Common Access Card access to the base network can learn class details and enroll by accessing https://education.training.wpafb.af.mil/, then clicking on "CoP" in the left column.

Ms. Sandberg said the Education and Training Flight also offers very popular Stephen Covey classes, including the three-day "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People", two-day "Four Roles of Leadership", and one-day "FOCUS: Achieving Your Life's Highest Priorities."

"The FOCUS class is a time-management module in which you receive a planner and learn a unique way to use it," Sandberg said. Each of the Covey classes does have a cost attached, for materials only. Those interested should contact their organization's training focal point for class dates and placement.

Wright-Patterson's Education and Training Flight is recent winner of the coveted Aultschuler Award, naming it as the best in Air Force Materiel Command.

"We seek to serve our customers in the most effective way possible," Sandberg said.
