WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE -- Veterans and active-duty service members at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the area are invited to attend a free informational session May 18 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the USO Community Center, Bldg. 1222, Kittyhawk Center, Area A, to learn more about cybersecurity as a future career opportunity. No prior experience in cybersecurity is required in order to participate.

The information session is a preliminary to a no-cost 10-week-long summer program that will give participants hands-on opportunities as avatars in a 3D virtual reality campus to explore cybersecurity as a career. The projects they will be doing are aimed at giving them experience, principles and understanding of cybersecurity careers and how certification works. A cybersecurity company will help guide the summer program.
